Could you comment on politics(especially CA) and racing. Environmental, pushing the elimination of riding areas, fossil fuels etc. A whole column would be great.

Also, how Vital censors any political talk. It baffles me how a pro-motorcycle/dirtbike racing platform could be so far left-wing/Democrat. The silencing of any dissent, cancel culture is alive and well at Vital.

Politics are the very essence of dirt biking and racing existence. No? Better believe it.

Could you see leaving(you personally) CA?

Thanks…..riding/racing for 53 years in Texas.

In regards to the riders that tended to get hurt, that was very common when I was racing in the 80s. This was pre-knee braces and neck braces and so forth. We always had riders that were “delicate“. Every few months they would have a new injury. Torn ACL, damaged shoulders, broken wrists and such. I was fortunate enough to avoid most injury and would chalk it up to body structure and riding technique. We would ride the same corners and jump the same jumps but one of us will get hurt! I don’t think it had to do with speed, as we were in the same classes but the same thing happened over and over again throughout the years.

Where do you stand regarding the MXGP/MX2 in Europe and the fact they can’t fill a gate to save their lives?
Also how would you combat it for positive change going forward?

Ping, after a great season in 2000 did you have the opportunity to ride for Mitch again? Was KTM your only option for 2001?

Ping, you spoke of getting injured many times in your career. Could you pinpoint why?
I think that is the only factual answer you could give.
    Welcome back.
