Today we got to test one Jay Clark’s builds, a 2025 Yz 450FX. This things got all the great goodies that you want to race motocross but also feel good out there on those trails. Not to mention it could be Eli Tomac’s next race bike…

For this build we kept it simple with minimal engine mods. The stock engine on this bike is a lot but less than the full moto YZ450 (which is very nice). The stock map choices on the YZ450FX work great.  We added the all new Apex Torque Drive Rekluse clutch to help clutch durability and performance. GYTR hydraulic clutch set up and GYTR fan help improve the trail prowess. For the gearing we went to a 14/52 set up to help lessen the down low hit and better carry 2nd-3rd gear.   We wish the bike had a sixth gear for wide open and cruising transitions between trails. Oh a YZ350FX would also be nice Yamaha.
