It’s been raining a lot here in Southern California, but that didn’t stop us from grabbing us a Beta 450 and running to find the driest place to ride. So we went to a track in the hills! Our time was limited but we wanted to give you guys our first thoughts on this new bike from Beta!
We got this super clean 2000 KX125 all the way from Arizona out here at pala to test out from Ping’s buddy Justin McMurrich. Imagine his surprise when Billy Laninovich was the one who ended up spinning some laps on it!
While originally slated to race the first three rounds of the Supercross season, Jorge Prado got in a bonus round and raced four. When he first announced his intention to race, many were skeptical about how the reigning MXGP world champ would fare.
With a heat race win, and multiple top 10s Dylan Ferrandis has had some serious speed. It’s no secret that he’s been wanting to ride a Honda, and now that he’s on one, FC brought him the comfort he needs to battle against these other teams on a satellite team.
With Glendale done and dusted, David Pingree and Bruce Marada got RJ Hampshire on the line to talk about his win, give some insights into the 450 class, and what to expect from his program during the west coast break.
Ping has taken apart Project 86 and he’s enlisted the help of Rick Doughty from Vintage Iron Project to help restore this thing! The boys walk us through all the parts they’ve acquired and their plans to move forward with the bike.

We linked up with Jason Anderson for a day at the test track in Corona, California just before Detroit Supercross. Fans have often commented on Jason’s unique style and we certainly think this video shows it. He’s been riding great this year and we thought it’d be fun to shoot a good ol fashioned riding video, hope you guys enjoy!
