That thing sounds mean! Great video. I’m hooked on the this era of dirt bikes…. Building an 83 IT250 and an 89 CR250 this winter. Any advice on a more modern front end fitment on the 89 CR that will pair well with the chassis & rear suspension?

I had 2 of these. They were $2500 out the door. the trick was to run 2 head gaskets with gasketcinch between them, and there was a different needle you used to minimize the detonation. Forks were an issue no matter what we tried. Gold valves hadnt been invented yet. I stiil have the brochure of the 84 with Magoo on the cover. Magoo and I had some battles, He landed on top of me at the RedBud national in 79. If I had one of these in 78, Id of been 500 national champ. I loved when we did the Carlsbad GP and used the superbikers course at Carlsbad. I was clocked at 100+ going down the return road. The knobbies were slicks after that race. At 6’2″ 500’s fit me fine.
