We hear a lot about young riders trying to “make it” in the sport of motocross. I was one of those kids. But what does Making it” really mean?

One thing you’re likely to notice in Crash Cart is my desire to make Motocross a safer sport. I fully understand that we all take the risk when we toss our leg over a motorcycle of any kind, but there are plenty of things in our power that we can control, too.

There seems to be a shakeup in the world of motocross apparel and protection devices on a daily basis. Remember neck braces? How about those shoelaces that people would wear on their chest and shoulders? (I still don’t know the purpose of those things…). I have seen some wild snake oil products in the pits over the years. Now, it seems that knee braces are making a shift in popularity. 

What’s the one thing that, as fans of the sport we all want to see? The answer is good racing, right? I know there were a few loose boys in the back who shouted “Boobs!,” but that’s just a given.
